Required player actions

  • Goalkeeper 1 confirms the goal-area responsibilities before the taker starts.
  • Centre-backs 4 and 5 name their zone or runner and keep both the ball and threat in view.
  • Full-back 2 and midfielder 8 agree who closes a short corner while defensive midfielder 6 protects the next central pass.

Required player actions

  • Centre-backs 4 and 5 read the flight, move toward a reachable delivery and compete with balance.
  • Goalkeeper 1 makes an early, clear claim or stay call and sets for the next attempt.
  • Full-backs 2 and 3 stay aware of runners beyond the first contact and protect the far-side finish.

  • Defensive midfielder 6 reads the clearance and approaches the next receiver while protecting the route inside.
  • Centre-backs 4 and 5 reconnect the line when pressure permits; full-backs 2 and 3 continue tracking live runners.
  • Midfielder 8 offers the first secure pass after a regain, then striker 9 provides a forward outlet.
